Bharat MandirSVR INNOVATIVES PRIVATE LIMITED
This Privacy Policy explains how SVR INNOVATIVES PRIVATE LIMITED (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects your information when you use the Bharat Mandir app and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
We do not collect your location. Bharat Mandir does not request, track, or store GPS or device-location data. Temples are browsed by state, city and search — not by tracking where you are.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to provide the Service:
- Mobile number — required, for OTP sign-in and to identify your account.
- Name — optional in your profile; provided when you make a booking (devotee/requester name).
- Email address — optional. Only stored if you choose to add it to your profile or a volunteer sign-up. It is not required to use the app.
- Profile photo (avatar) — optional, if you choose to set one.
- Booking details — for poojas/sevas, accommodation and purohit requests: the name, phone number, dates, slot/service, number of persons and any special requests you enter.
- Delivery address — name, phone, address lines, city, state and pincode — only for Spiritual Books orders.
- Order, booking and payment-reference history — including Razorpay order/payment references (never your card details) and invoices.
- Volunteer / Madhava Seva details — name, phone, optional email/city/state, interests and availability you submit.
- Questions you submit to the Questions / Helpline feature.
- Audio favourites — the tracks you mark as favourite (linked to your account).
- Basic device/technical information needed for app functionality and security.
2. What We Do Not Collect
- Location / GPS data — we do not collect, track, or store your location.
- Card or bank details — handled entirely by Razorpay; we never see or store them.
- Biometric data.
- Contacts, photos library, or social-media data.
3. How We Use Information
- To create your account and sign you in via OTP;
- To process and confirm your pooja, accommodation and purohit bookings;
- To process Spiritual Books orders and arrange delivery;
- To respond to your questions and provide customer support;
- To operate, secure and improve the app.
4. Audio Preferences (Stored On Your Device Only)
Your devotional-audio preferences — such as mute/unmute settings and your selected home chanting — are stored locally on your device only (in the app’s local storage) and are never transmitted to our servers. The chantings and bhajans themselves are made available under the full licenses and rights SVR INNOVATIVES PRIVATE LIMITED holds, for personal devotional use only (see our Terms & Conditions).
5. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of trusted providers strictly to operate the Service:
- Razorpay — payment processing for paid bookings and book orders. Razorpay handles all card/bank data directly; we receive only a payment reference and status.
- MSG91 — delivery of the one-time password (OTP) by SMS. Your mobile number is shared only to send the OTP.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) — storage of media files (audio, images) and generated invoices.
- MongoDB Atlas — the secure database where your account and booking data are stored (India region).
6. Data Sharing
- Temple administrators — booking details, to confirm your pooja, accommodation or purohit request.
- Delivery partners — your name and address, only to deliver Spiritual Books orders.
- Payment processor — payment is completed with Razorpay.
- We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use third-party advertising or tracking.
7. Data Storage, Security & Retention
Your data is stored on secure servers (MongoDB Atlas) in India. Account access is protected by OTP authentication, and we use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), to protect your information. We retain booking and order data for up to 3 years for legal and tax compliance, after which it may be deleted or anonymised. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.

9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the app, and the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
